Summer is officially over! Well, at least in the Western Hemisphere of the world. Although it’s not summer anymore, it still feels like it in Southern California; in fact, in So Cal we’re lucky enough to enjoy warm weather almost year-round though it typically starts to cool down by early October.

With the start of the autumn season, we prepare for the cooler weather by brushing off the dust from our boots and bringing out the comfy sweaters and scarves. Many people indulge in popular seasonal flavors associated with fall, such as pumpkin spice or apple cinnamon.  

The colors of the leaves will begin to change and the fall foliage will transform into those stunning crimson, orange, gold, and even purple shades that hint toward the changing of seasons.  

With the peak of the travel season coming to an end, airfare is cheaper during the autumn months. If you plan on visiting California or even live in the area, it’s worth paying a visit to the Hollywood sign – a must-see on any traveler’s list.  

To ready ourselves for Fall, we paid a visit to the Hollywood sign this month to view the iconic sight. According to Hollywoodsign.org, the Hollywood sign is more than nine white letters spelling out a city’s name; it’s one of the world’s most evocative symbols – a universal metaphor for ambition, success, glamour...  

You can see the Hollywood sign from a far distance or you can make the trek to the Hollywood sign and get a nice view of all of Los Angeles. Our view is from Lake Hollywood Park. Download this HD wallpaper if you call LA home, or are driven by what the sign stands for.

Also with the arrival of fall are popular fall fashion trends, including the ever-popular stripes. Stripes match well with just about any piece of clothing, particularly now where your patterns can mix and match.

If you’re looking to stay on trend with fall fashion, follow some of the colors from the Pantone 2018 color palette.
